EuroAsia Packaging in Istanbul with 2Press. Packaging on the rise

Another edition of the EuroAsia Packaging fair in Istanbul is behind us. The event, which lasted four days in 12 exhibition halls, featured more than 900 exhibitors. The size and diversity of topics made it possible to find an interesting topic for anyone interested in the packaging market.

Domestic equipment manufacturers did not disappoint either. At their booths they presented the latest solutions and technical innovations recently introduced to the market. One could see the presence of Far Eastern suppliers of solutions for the packaging market and both the manufacturers themselves and their representatives in the Turkish market.

An example of dynamic development through the introduction of new solutions is Turkish manufacturer BAF. At its booth was the premiere demonstration of the new Cubic series device solutions.

After last year’s launch of Cubic 125TS stack-turning systems, and 2Press’ success in selling these solutions in our domestic Polish market, it was the turn of the large format. The Cubic Pile Turner TS-165 AC is BAF’s answer to market demands for system solutions for VLF printing.

Representatives of 2Press, the company representing BAF on the Polish market, spoke with the company’s owner Ahmed Erkoc on several occasions, passing on suggestions and customer expectations. An important element, for example, was the provision of a stack turner, which would simplify system pallet replacement issues.

Particularly in packaging printing plants, where modern printing machines running non-stop, at the highest capacities and large formats, can generate negligible throws on lining. This is of colossal importance in the subsequent efficiency of the die-cutting process. And this is where the Cubic TS-165 CA stack turner finds one of its applications. Thoroughly ventilated, leveled by vibration and centrally placed on a system pallet, the stack allows for precise further processing on further post press systems.

And what are the parameters of this system weighing 7 tons? Cubic Pile Turner TS-165 AC (with automatic centering function) is a generation of stack turners in 1250×1650 mm format. Equipped with the functions of aeration, vibration, system pallet exchange and automatic pallet centering in one operation. Full auto. System pallet holders, motorized table for moving the stack, laser sensor system for measuring the center.

High productivity thanks to a newly designed vibration system, and an air nozzle system, as well as a pressurization system developed for large formats, are just some of the main new features of this machine.

Another BAF innovation is the HL-140+ (mechanical side guide system) elevator. The latest generation of the 1100×1400 mm format lifter. It has been redesigned specifically to accommodate changing pallet sizes. Particularly noteworthy is the equipping with a motorized side guide system for working with all pallets from 700×1000 mm to 1100×1400 mm. In addition, with the pallet centering function, stacked loads can be aligned on pallets as desired.
